Noise abatement

Does anyone have a reference or any information on noise abatement takeoff procedures? Is there a standard in the FARs? How does the MD-80 apply the procedures?

The aircraft is certified to meet the stage 3 noise abatement criteria in a normal climb and on a normal approach. Some airports, DCA comes to mind, have published noise abatement profiles that must be adhered to.

I don't believe there is a FAA recommended or requried procedure. There is a generic jet aircraft procedure published by the NBAA. I'd check out their website.
