noise abatement

as i mentioned in an earlier post we have a problem at my airport with rich folks building houses right next to the property and then bitc*ing about the noise. just wondered if anyone had any suggestions along the lines of dealing with these people, they are making a rather strong push in the community to close our airport becasuse of the noise problem and i'm looking for ways to tell them to F*** off, more politely of course...

Seriously... Get a land use program in place and forbid such construction before your airport goes bye bye.

Be aware for any gunfire on the climb out that may be directed towards you ( or in your direction) and try to avoid taking a hit straight on. If you do take a hit that causes catastrophic damage be d@mn sure not to bail without a properly packed parachute.

Funny someone should write that. At the airport I fly out of (1G5) some drunk woman left a message on the answering machine saying she was going to shoot down the green and white "menace" that woke her up in the morning. I found out about it when I started to fly the thing from the fbo manager. I guess he played the tape for the feds and they paid her a visit, she was loaded at like 10AM. Even if she did manage to put a hole in it, it wouldn't be the first time for that old rustbucket, it had already had been shot up once and it kept right on truckin........

I have flow into 1g5 a few times, i'll be sure to watch out for the drunk lady , actually the airport JMMCCUTC is refering to is not far from 1g5. 1g3 has to deal all those kinds of people but as of yet noone has called in a treat like that.

Small world, 1G3 always seems to be on the edge of extinction. I thought you guys were goners when Portage County had all that new paving done, but Kent still isn't willing to give up the airport yet it seems. Then again it wasn't too long ago that Carol wanted to kill off the aviation programs, so who knows what the future brings. Do me a favor though, go down to Ray's and spin the wheel for me , I've been too busy looking for a job to get a chance to stop for a drink The great thing about college towns is that while I get older, the college chicks always stay the same age.

I knew it was bad when I hit the magic 24 and still was going to the college bars just to see what was up.

alright fella and gals...here's the plan...i wanted to drop eggs on the houses, but i also like the BURN THEM DOWN theory along with making an F-152 so that i can defend my self...all this put together leads to one thing...my buddy flying shot gun to keep the crazies indoors, and we'll drop flaming eggs out of the plane, killing two bird with one stone so to speak...after this is all accomplished i'll be flying straight for the mexican border...It's been nice know all you flightinfo.com people...
