I always loved that 405 movie. Fun bit of low budget film making.
 
It's not the fact it is a low pass that makes me think its fake, its how fast he is shown at pattern altitude on downwind.

That's what I also thought. However, I did the math. If he was in an 85 degree bank at 200Kts, his rate of turn would exceed 60 degrees per second. I didn't figure out lower bank angles, but suffice it to say that he could turn 180 degrees in the 5 or so seconds that it appeared to take as long as the aircraft could withstand the required Gs. ... I didn't dig up the formula for Gs; the formula for rate of turn is (1092.95*Tan(bank angle))/ Velocity.

Edit: At 80 degrees' bank angle, the turn rate is approximately 30 degrees per second.

Edit 2: I found the formula from Gs. It's n = 1/cos of bank angle.
For 85 degrees, he'd need to pull 11.47 Gs
For 80 degrees, he'd need to pull 5.76 Gs
