im 99% positive that the website was privately funded and created by a friend of one of the 4. It is my understanding, at no time did they use ALPA resources or alpa time for that website.

It is illegal to use ALPA resources to campaign. When the campaign emails come through ALPA blast mail, it is paid for out of the pocket of that candidate.

As for the pilot who did not participate, it was John Breiling. He is a the good friend of the Jackson Coalition. He was contacted in the hotel after he failed to call in prior to departure from ATL. He acknowledged he got the notification via his v-file. He told the strike center operator he would call prior to departure the next morning, but never did.

I asked him about it just the other day here on FI and he said that it "was a waste of time".

I never bothered to ask why he didn't mentioned that when he was contacted by the strike center.

I can confirm that the website was definitely designed, programed, and hosted by a private individual. It was in no way funded in whole or in part by any ALPA resources. If you do not have your facts please keep your OPINIONS or CONJECTURE to yourself!!

If people did that, flightinfo would be dead - that eliminates 98% of the posts!

By the way, why should people keep their opinions or conjectures to themselves? Are you the thought police?

I stand corrected. My point was that the statement alleged that the people referenced had done something wrong and possibly illegal. I think that before you make that type of statement you should have your facts correct.

your joking right? Trust me, by looking at that web site its obvious that no one got paid to make it.

The simple reason is because it is a waste of time and the MEC is doing the pilot group a diservice by stringing them along under the belief that we will ever get a release based on what we are asking for compared to the industry standard..........All the strike preperations and informational picketing in the world won't do anything if you don't get a release and if ALPA continues to allow carriers to bid for flying within a brand.

It is very obvious that joey wrote those responses for LJ. They have Joey all over them. Was Lynn drunk or just stupid when she wrote that response, or was it Cooksey who wrote it for her? Looked like someone from the Atlanta school system's work!
