Any HR types out there........

How can any company require you to be somewhere and to do duties releated to your job and not pay you for it legally? ie, preflight, paperwork, hour early show time etc......

I don't want to flame, just curious legally how this can be done. seems like any other job if you are required to be somewhere doing something for you job the company is required to compensate you.

You are paid for it. It's figured into your hourly pay and min guarantee, and anything else you may have negotiated in your contract. Think of it as a salary in that respect.:)
