FamGuy wants confirmation

I will say it again. The only schedule on the table from 00' through the failed TA was a 7/7. There was no discussion of 6/6 until early this year.

You know that.

And by the way, check company letter dated Feb 25, 2003. Signed by Richard T. Santulli. He spells it out in black and white for you.

Sounds like Family Guy is fishing for info. Family Guy you don't know crap. There are three schedules for pilots. Are you so stupid you don't know that? Once again you show that you have no facts to post on this board. Oh yeah did I tell you today that I don't like you.

Once again you validate that you bring nothing meaningful to this board....

and I'm glad you dont like me....that just makes it easier for me to cull down the wedding invitation list.

I understand that there wasnt any discussion of a 6-6 until recently....I'm just asking what was the reasoning behind doing a 6-6 instead of a 7-7.

Is that company letter posted somewhere for everyone to read?

That letter came to me through the U.S. Mail...I would think it would be archived somewhere in the Death Star.

Owww! Owwww! I found another...

"We determined that placing all or most of the pilots on the 7&7, resulted in potential improvements to crew pairing opportunities."

Worth W. Moisture, Jr.

Letter dated August 27, 2004

Why have they have backtracked on this? Hmmmmmmm.........

Did someone find that a 6-6 schedule was more efficient than a 7-7?

No it is just designed to bring down pay. Its less efficient.

But they know we don't want it instead of the 7/7. So eventually they plan to say oh we can give you 7/7 but for a little less money.

When 7/7 was first offered they did not believe people would want to volunteer for it. There are still people who say they don't want 7/7 and prefer a 17 day schedule. Most of them have not tried the 7/7.

The proposed schedule options of 6/6 and 6/4 do not help the company. They are FIXED schedules that has an equal number of pilots assigned to work Every Day regardless of Demand. You have TOO many crews working some days and far too few on others.

Unless of course you man for the busy days with enough pilots... then you have a lot of people sitting around all the other days.

I am not explaining this as well as I could have but I would expect many in the Casino have jobs that could relate to this issue. A better solution was the 7/7 and Reserve schedules that was part of the failed TA. The flexibility to increase manpower on the days of high demand.

you're right about the casino schedule part...i also agree with your observation on the fixed nature of the schedules.

The only benefit I see in a 6-6 is that there isnt any advantage in day off patterns. In a 7-7 there will be certain schedules that will be perceived to be more valuable than others...but in a 6-6 there is no advantage since the days off will rotate.

maybe a better solution is 6-6 and reserve schedules. this makes all fixed schedules equal while retaining the flexibility to increase manpower on high demand days.

Have you considered taking over scheduling?
