The plane I'm flying has 24 Jepps books. Luckily, some guys are paid by the company to update them, so we (the crews of the aircraft) don't have to!

Other than an electronic flight bag, the way NJ does it is the only practical way for them.

Q Service superior to Jeppview or Flight Deck! WTF Over?

Most pilots would prefer to update Jepps via a cd over a handful of books any day. So easy a monkey could do it. Maybe even a pilot ;)

My point was that since we still had to carry paper anyway, just having the single Q service was superior to maintining Q and some other Jepp service.

The jury is still out on the EFB's. For every guy that I talk to that likes them, there are three that say the paper is more user friendly. After thirty years of updating Jepps, I'd like to get away from the paper.
