Simple....you must be current to fly for NetJets....not just barely current but you must be actively flying, every day or darn close, for NetJets to consider you.

Right now they are calling the shots so they have the "pick of the litter".

Military guys and hobby pilots don't stand a chance right now at NetJets....

Once the pool of prime people is used up then the rest have a chance. These are the cruel facts folks...nothing personal.

Its all about supply and demand.

They want current pilots who are very familiar with the operations CIVILIAN aviation.

DO - 82:

Are those direct quotes from someone in hiring or is that your opinion?

Military isn't having any trouble getting in as far as I know. Netjets is VERY military friendly. Hobby pilots, you may have a point.

I was military, and made it in late last year (with pretty low time, as well). But there were very few military guys interviewing at that time, and only two of us right off active duty in my indoc class. I do think the word on street about NJA is slowly getting out to the military folks, especially with the new contract.

Its not a direct quote but it was part of a conversation.....Experienced 135/121 pilots are highly desired at this point and time....I think that would be a more accurate statement.

I'm with Baja...I can get to LAX (Horizon out of RDD...twice daily!)...

HIRE ME TOO!!!

Eric

Well, let's see, LA, warm sunny......CMH cold grey. Sounds like a good time for a vacation/open house to me.
Are people still paying Kit to go to these things?

Looks like Derinda and Jerry are going to the Air Inc LAX - what's up with that? It seems as there are tons of people that have received the email to 'wait for the interview email' Why spend the time and resources to do this? I also though I remember reading on one of the posts not to mention Air Inc in an interview, what's the story with that?

Almost tempted to go and see them and try to get the 6 months waived or reduced - but I think I already know the answer to that ;)

Baja.

This is an easy one to answer..... Have you ever been to Columbus, OH during this time of year??? If not, count yourself as very lucky.

Anyway, a nice couple day trip out to So-Cal to get some sun and maybe hang out on the beach for anytime would be a huge up grade over the day to day of Columbus.

And if they can get some people to be based in LA then they will have actually done some work....

I'll second that. I went to school in Columbus. I remember one winter the wind chill factor was -70 deg F! I thought the car was going to shatter apart like a block of ice. Still a nice town though, especially in the summer.
