Hi guys. I'm not sure at this point, what I should do, if anything. I did not receive my app accept letter. So, a month a go I emailed them expressing my interest. I received a reply that I am in the interview pool.
Therefore, I can only assume this is good news. However, I am still not sure of my situation since I did not get the same email that everyone else got.
I seem to be outside of the norm. I don't have any internal recs to check for me.
Anyone have any thoughts?
I seem to be in the same situation. I applied in January, and didn't recieve any indication of acceptance. I email Derinda, and for some reason they never got my application package. I resent it to her directly, and she put it in the system. This was over a month ago, and still no application accepted email. I don't know if they are changing their system because of the wrath of interest, but I know I'm qualified (aeronautical and customer service) and I have three internal recs.

I've just decided that I will have the chance when they want me to have the chance, and will hear something when they're ready. Hopefully, we'll both hear something soon.

Just wanted to let you know I'm in the same boat and you're not alone.

Have you thought of clling her? I left her a message last week just to make sure they had received it. She called me back yesterday and said they had, and even chatted with me for a few minutes. Seemed very nice and not the least inconvenienced by the call.

After the passing of the TA, Does anyone know if the scoring system used to select interviewees has changed. i.e. if the applicants were all reshuffled according to a new scoring system.

I was talking just yesterday with someone involved with the hiring process who indicated that a new software package is coming soon . That program will do a more rigorous job of sorting applicants and helping to determine which ones most closely match the desired criteria. Once that happens, the percentage of interviewees who get a job offer should rise to noticeably higher levels as the company will be able to more easily identify well-qualified candidates.

Aca, it varies a lot. Some weeks the board does not meet. Some have heard within 2 days. A friend who just finished indoc was told to expect to hear by Tuesday (he interviewed mid-week). The call actually did not come until the following Sunday. It depends on both the selection board schedule and when the classes are finalized (date, aircraft, etc.). As far as I know, the record is a little over 3 months.

I got the email for an interview date, then the phone interview. I interviewed on feb 20,21. We had a 20 question test which I made a 100% and I aced the interviews and sim ride. I still didn't get hired. Out of 14 guys in my class only about 6 or 7 were hired. I am typed and currently flying citations already so I don't know what they are looking for so all you can do is your best and hope you role the dice just right. In other words, don't get your hopes up like I did....

They told us at recurrent that everyone in the interview process is being told to only hire who they feel is in the top 10 percent of each interviewees background- if from the airlines the top 10 percent of airline pilots, if from the military the top 10 percent of military pilots, etc. Overall one in three who interview are being hired now and they also said that the LORs will only help to get the interview and aren't really supposed to carry weight on the interview itself- each applicant will sink or swim based on the interview only. That is just what we were told last month and things can and do change. Good luck all.
