Can someone post the quality of life and schedule situation at Nippon Air Cargo for 747 Pilots based in JFK?

Not sure if this helps, but here ya go anyway...

65 hours per month

10 days free of duty per month, at least 8 will be consecutive.

This was from the Hawaiian aviation contract though, I don't know if Nippon hires directly or not to the cargo side.

Nope, that is just the minimum. Like when an airline's cba says 10 days off a month but most guys average 14-15. The SFO NCA crews are for the most part 2 week on 2 week off.

That sounds like a normal international heavy jet schedule to me. What's your schedule like?

2 weeks on 2 weeks off, its alot better than 3 weeks on 1.5 weeks off.

That's about what mine is. I like that schedule, home for two weeks. Some bid lines have two shorter trips, but the result is the same, two on-two off.

It's Hawaiiaviation.com. Also check out Parc Aviation, they advertise for the job as well. They post the requirements. It's contract work and you are not actually working for NCA airlines.

Also, try this link and check out all other contract jobs. I think most have a lower age limit.

Don't go work for the Japanese.

Guys that I know that do it, hate it.

Don't knock the Japanese, thier airlines along with the rest of the Asian carriers are doing better than our airlines, save 3.

Pay and upgrade opportunities at Hawaii aviation

would somebody like to share what the pay is for nippon cargo or japan airways out of HNL. i believe it is contract work by hawaii aviation services and runs about 3-5 year contracts. one more question..... say you start out as a 74 classic FO, can you upgrade to the left seat?? any help from someone in the know would be great.

Go to Hawaiiaviation.com, fill out the online resume. They will send you an app along with the contract terms ALONG with the pay. There is nothing that says you actually have to send it back.

And if you do, what's the worst that can happen, they actually call you for interview?

At PARC, yes, they do upgrade, about 3-4 years. $16,000 a month. Go to pprune.com, more info there
