So... an elementary teacher starts a new job at a school in Green Bay, WI... trying to make a good impression on her first day she explains to her class that she's a Packers fan...

She asks the class to raise their hands if they too are Packers fans..

Everyone in the class raises their hand except one little girl..

The teacher looks a little suprised and says, "Mary, why didn't you raise your hand?"

Mary responds, "Because I'm NOT a Packers fan", she replied. The teacher, now becoming interested in the lone dissenter asks, "Mary, why are you a Bears fan?"...

Mary responds, "Because my mom and dad are from Chicago and my mom is a Bears fan and my dad is a Bears fan, so I'M a BEARS fan too!"

"Well".. said the teacher, in an obviously annoyed tone, " that's not necessarily a reason for you to be a Bears fan. You don't have to be just like your parents ALL of the time....

What if your mom was a prostitute and your dad was a pimp, drug addict, and a car thief.... what would you be then??"

Mary responds, " I'd be a RAIDERS fan!"....

Hahahah...

GO BEARS!!!:D  :) :p

Arizona Cardinals

They're 3-0 in preseason and they beat da Bears last week.

This may be a stretch but I think they'll go 4-12 this year! And Jake went to Denver and will have missed all the fun.

Hi!

Sorry to say, but the Bears have no chance in the NFC North. GB and MN will finish 1/2-not necessarily in that order. I don't think Detroit will finish anywhere but 4th. They may do better down the road with the Marriuchi (sp?) change.

I've always been a Vikings fan (since Grade 2), but I've also had Chicago, Detroit and now Green Bay as my second favorite teams. (I've now lived in GRB for 10 years.) I used to live in those locations.

I beg to differ... My prediction:
Packers 13-3
Vi-queens 8-5
Then the rest of the conference...

GO PACKERS!!!!!!!!!!;) :D ;) :D

How come you have the Vi-Queens at 8 and 5? Is there some reason you think they wont play 16 games, like all the rest of the teams?????

Da Bears!

This is our year, Bears Fans!

After the Cubbies win the Pennant and the World Series, nothing can stop us! (and they thought the Second Coming would happen long before we got back to the Series!)

Or have I been drinkin too many of Da Beers...?

At game 16 against the Arizona Cardinals neither team will show up due to lack of interest....

j/k :)

I meant 8/8

Bears

If Kordell can step up to the plate, the Bears will have an interesting offense, to say the least. Good running back in the A-train and receiver in Marty Booker. If Kordell cannot get the job done, and history has shown that he might not, well, the Bears may be running a college offense this season.

Great linebacker in Brian Urlacher. Wouldn't mind having him here.

I wish to share your optimisim. While I have been a GBP fan my whole life, I dont think GB has NEARLY as good of a defense to be any better than 10-6. My guess is they finish 9-7, sadly enough. Unless they crap-out some defensive players...

On the bright side, the offense it lookin **CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED****CENSORED** good! Better to have a strong offense and weak defense than the other way around.

sniff sniff
You all are smokin something except Bobby. BRONCOS are gonna take it all this year baby.

Hey Bobbysam,

How many illegal cut blocks will the Broncos have this year? Last time we talked about this I asked a co-worker "what team has the dirtiest offensive line in the NFL?". His response, which took about a split second, "oh, the Broncos". :D :D :D :D :D

Pats look good on D, if not great. We'll see about the O.

Mr. I.

2 words- DALLAS COWBOYS. :D :D

The Big Tuna is in town now...

If only he didn't choose Carter to start at QB - They did look some what good with the exception of the PIT game.

"How bout dem Cowboys".:D

I think 2 games tops with Carter then Hutchinson will step in and take them into the playoffs.

I am with 350driver. Cowboys,Cowboys, Cowboys! Parcells(sp) is in town to take them back to the top. If we could just get rid of Jerry Jones.

Falcons will go 10 and 6, thats even with M. Vick hurt. He will probably miss the first 6 games. In those six games even with Doug Johnson starting I see us going 4 and 2. I didn't miss a home game last year and I hope not to this year. The Cowpunks might win 3 or 4. Quincy Carter is not an NFL QB even though I liked him when he was at UGA b/c the Dawgs are my college team. I spent 2 great years in Athens until they kicked me out and had to finish up at Georgia State a school with no football teeam.

Even with Mr. Dink at quarterback last year, the Broncos were only one or two wins away from making the playoffs. I dunno if Jake is the panacea, but he definitely upgrades the position. He can throw downfield better than Brian could ever hope for, and he has a good speed receiver to go downfield in Ashley Lelie. I've always liked Chris Cole, despite his inconsistency. He, too, could be another good speed receiver. They have plenty of good backs.

The Broncos need to develop a pass rush and hope for good secondary play. Deltha has to play to his potential. More importantly, they cannot beat themselves with stupid mental errors, such as false starts and offsides.

Cut blocking is part of the West Coast Offense. Other teams that run that offense aren't called for it as much as Denver. The only cut blocks for which the Broncos will be called will be by some over-anal official. :)

The Broncos could beat Oakland twice if they develop a pass rush and play good defense. Tampa Bay proved that Oakland can be beaten. Two victories over Oakland will be the difference. Given all the "ifs," I'll venture 11-5.

PS-Sports Illustrated wrote a great article about Bill Parcells in a recent issue. One of the players called Parcells the Vince Lombardi of his era. I agree with that - although I think that Lombardi himself would have been a gross failure today because the players are different.
