+1 to that.

We're going to/did fight like hell to get the best possible deal for us. After the vote we'll channel that energy into more important things like forming new scheduling cartels and maximizing our income.

I'll have no problem sitting in the cockpit or at the bar with and former Airtran crewmember after the vote closes.

Gup

Here is the only question that I have. Did anyone actually say that if this integration agreement is not accepted that SWA will operate the airlines separately and not integrate the two airlines? There is rumor it was said, but I want to know for sure. If it was said, that would be extortion and there would be legal action taken. I believe it to be a fabrication began to foster fear within the AT group to get them to avoid arbitration. Anyone know FOR A FACT, that this comment or anything eluding to it was made?

I know I said I wouldn't post anything until this was all done....but...I have to comment on this one.

PCL, once you are a SWA Pilot, in my eyes, you will be a SWA Pilot. And I would expect that Pilots and management here will fight for you just as they have recently fought for us once you are part of our family.

We have a saying here that goes something like this...."We hire for attitude and train for skill". I would like to think that still holds true.

A good attitude will help a pilot go far here. Sure, we've had a few that have needed "adjustment"...and some who permanently reside in that 1% area ( by choice). 99% of us are glad to be here and we show that in our performance every day, every leg.

Having said all that, we do have our disagreements. Difference is, we don't go bomb throwing and don't take our differences to the traveling public like I have seen others do in this industry.

I have disagreed with some management decisions in the past, and I have let people know my feeling from Gary Kelly to our Chief Pilot and everyone on the food chain in between.

I have aired my disagreements respectfully and with an eye towards seeking a resolution.

BUT...I have agreed with a whole lot more than I have disagreed with around here. I came from an ALPA legacy airline, and I will tell you we have the best game going here. I am very happy here, happier than I have ever been anywhere else.

I didn't create this situation and you didn't either. However, it will be up to us....all of us....to make this thing roll forward and continue to be successful.

You are coming here and I will welcome you here once you are here.

Thats it......I'm off and will be back once we are all on the other side.

Thanks, Tejas. Great post. Looking forward to working with you.

Ask the Merger Committee. My understanding is that it wasn't specifically said, but that it was heavily implied.

So it was "Implied Extortion"?

You can't make this stuff up........

No wait.....it's much more serious.....it was "Heavily Implied Extortion"......

I thought I saw Tony Soprano on my jet going into Dallas....Gary Kelly met him on the jetway and gave him that "Special Hug and Kiss"

Don't mess with the Family......too funny....

Just to explain why I'm hung up on this is because, if were simply implied would that not be further posturing to get us to avoid arbitration? I hate the idea of dragging this out, and I look forward to a career at SWA, but to reach an agreement out of fear does not sit well with me. It comes across as a precursor of things to come. It gets back to basic trust issues which we at AT have sen dealing with for years.

Wouldn't even implying it be considered intimidation which is also illegal?

Intimidation? You wanna see intimidation?......How about putting PCL,Kharma,Ty and Old Man on a 737-200 we drag out of the desert and make you fly one our "typical" 13 leg days in the Great State of Texas in August......now THATS intimidation.......

Oh for the love of sweet golden haired baby Jesus ..... No !

I'm already going to have to reach deep into the 'before time', and summon my mad JetPig skills to handle a 737-300.

A 737-200 is outright abuse.

That's cruel and unusual punishment. Big difference. lol

Oh yeah, I almost forgot....if Dicko is onboard, the jet will be painted nose to tail with a huge "Rick Perry for President!"

And Rick will be nekked!.......
