Sorry to bore the other airline guys but a pretty cool shot of the Boeing flightline with DL's first two 777LRs. The first one will be delivered tomorrow Feb 29. The employee dedication ceremony for the new Spirit of Delta will be on Mar 6 and the first flight is Mar 8 (ATL-LAX). Second one arrives Mar 21. They are the first two aircraft with the new lie flat Business Elite product.

Whatever happened to the original Spirit of Delta? Did it get sold?

It has been converted to an educational museum. Several exhibits and movies are displayed on the main cabin. My favorite is a hands on demonstration of the materials used to build aircraft over the years.

The Museum is inside the Delta GO complex, but the public can check in with security and go over to the free museum. The aircraft is open on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

This early production 767 had the Flight Engineer's station. When it was removed the remaining space makes for one enormous flight deck.

Unfortunately the aircraft had to be modified for storage, safety, and environmental, conditions to be met. As a result it will never fly again. The aircraft has a interesting history. Anyone who wants to is welcome to come visit.

It was repainted in original colors and now sits in the Delta Heritage Museum at Hartsfield. It still looks great.
I still remember seeing it all the time at Hartsfield when it was still flying in the original colors. I always loved that old paint job.

I agree. Although most of the old paint jobs were pretty ratty by the time I got here, it's still the best one DL has had. Be great if the new paint job was the old paint job instead.

The New Spirit of Delta? Did the employees take up a collection to buy it like the original Spirit of Delta?

I realize you're pretty bitter about getting shot down by NWA, but this is the major's forum. Please go to the regional forum, and stay there! Maybe you can take some of your useless comments with you!
No wonder you can't get hired anywhere!

I enjoy my job? Do you?

Oh, and are you really type rated in the 757 AND the 767? WOW!

Then why the NWA interview? You know the one where you DIDN'T get hired!

Hey, guess what that must make you type rated on the atr 42 and 72! Awsome. Do you also wear your uniform to the supermarket, and wear your ipod!

Did I miss something? When did JP interview at NWA?

NWA? I figured, why not... it never hurts to interview. I only applied in the darkest days of our negotiations when it looked like ASA was going to shut down. Son of a gun if they didn't call me a week after I applied. I figured sure, why not?

As for the ATR type, I don't list them as separate types like you do, moron. In fact, I'm not a big enough dork to list all of the aircraft I've flown at all. You on the other hand seem to think we should be impressed by your "wide" repertoire of airliners, including the 757 AND 767! See, some people, like you, need to "compensate" for other things that are a wee bit short by overplaying themselves in other areas. Hey, we feel for ya that you can't keep the ladies satisfied. Have you considered Viagra?

Sorry about that. I'll be sure to pm you and get your permission next time. Actually, there probably won't be a next time since I don't have any active applications out.
