My girlfriend routinely dials *67, or whatever blocks her number from being viewed, before she calls anyone...including me. I haven't talked to her in a while. :)

Those of you that know me on this board, know that I am a very militant enforcer of the contract we fly.. I am very much in favor of enforcing the language of the contract, even if it grossly inconvienences me! There are many that say they will enforce the contract, but if it is an inconvient point, they violate their own contract and then b!tch about it later! (I am sick of those of you that enforce the contract only when it is convienent)!

Next.. I had scheduling violate the contract with me this morning, and I brought the issue to MW and he supported me, supported the contract, and called DOTTIE the scheduluing manager and told her how it is. Hence my situation was kept in compliance with the contract and MW and myself were the enforcers!

I have had two instances where the contract was blatently violated by scheduling (one was LOA 27, and the other was this morning with release to rest) and both times MW supported the contract and the pilot involved! That simple

The contract says a pilot is not required to be available on a day off, so if your spouse etc answers the phone have them say "he's not available" and hang up.

Great point. The contract has even a higher power. The FAR'S are pretty explanatory about what a day off is. Free from obligation or duty. So whatever bs the company is trying to pull, you have the government to fall back on as well. One way or another, this BS will be fixed (hopefully!)

The only thing that will improve the mgmt./pilot relationship is the departure of CT, CS and Hiers. CS is now caught in the middle and has no voice in the process. CT and BH are simply doing what they were hired to do. Until SB steps in (if he even has enough authority anymore), the Bobsey twins will continue to stonewall negotiations and skate to the edge (and beyond) on the contract. Hand me a sign!

very likely the reason you get "violated" so often....

Poor planning on the companies part does not constitute an emergency on my part.
