It is not just the junior guys that have departed or departing. Several guys that had seniority numbers in the top 100 are gone or working on being gone. The 737 type school in Dallas has several Flight Options guys in every new class.

The good news, if you can call it that, is pilot attrition has slowed to zero in the past two weeks. I suspect this is only a lull in the storm since training record request from South West is in the high 50's for the month of March.

By-the-way, the pilot to plane ration is not looking good. 894 pilots, 200 planes give or take. Or as my bud told me yesterday, 4.05 pilots per plane. Pilot overtime is the plan. The mid size cabin guys can get all the OT they want. Back to back 12 day rotations if ya want.

Speaking of all this fun, does anyone else see the similarities here??? NJA has a 7/7 and flex. There is talk of a 7/7 at flops and all newbies will be flex? Teir 3 dropped and I can only guess tier 2's will be out soon as well, Tier 1's resemble NJA's gateway system..Our fleet is looking more like theirs except for the legacy.... Our fearless leader was clearly chosen on the great job with US Air. Many of the low senority numbers are leaving......Hate to start another rumor but if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck.....In light of this any comments on how being in bed with ASAP will help or hurt FLOPS pilots in a merger?

Being in bed with ASAP should help Options if we indeed get bought by NJA. They probably would be able to staple our list to the bottom of thiers. They would have to go date of hire if we are union. At least that is what have been hearing.

While I agree that ASAP can do nothing but help us in our current situation. I have sent in my card but leary on how they would help in a merger. They are comprised of all NJA pilots looking to help their own. I doubt they would merge by date of hire. Ask any of the former TWA guys about date of hire mergers and stapling at the bottom of the list. The good news is even stapled at the bottom of NJA is beter than being in the middle of this sinking ship--THANKS MS!

What you two folks are posting is simply flamebait.
Flamebait, Flamebait, Flamebait.
In regards to NetJets pilots' self interest, didn't FLOPS have a chance to vote in representation a few years ago?
Now that things have changed, you two post like you are victims.
Let's see, FLOPS pilots drank kool aid and couldn't get together to vote in representation, didn't pay dues, didn't go through the hassle of RLA negotiations, and now Dep676 thinks if FLOPS votes in union he'll get DOH.
I know many folks that are against that.
TWA would have ceased to exist if AMR didn't buy it out.
Two years ago, I was constantly approached and asked how's your contract going?. Then told we've been promised we'll get more than whatever you get.
I haven't heard that question lately.

Please Allow Me To Retort!
Dam boy if your gonna post derogatory comments would you please get your facts straight? Flight Options has never and I mean never voted on a union. And by looking through your past post you must be an angry little man. FLOPS will not be bought by Netjets so you can now sleep better at night knowing the trailer park trash will not invade your fairy tale kingdom. Now go to sleep sweet prince so you may wake up tommorow and find out you work at a piece of schit too.

flame suit on and fully charged.

I knew it was flamebait

My apologies, I stand corrected, there was no vote. Am I also misinformed that there was NO attempt to organize a union, which would have eventually led to a vote?

I guess the FLOPS guys I met who where involved in organizing a union at FLOPS who are now at NJA are just imaginary.

This thread is a waste of time.

Flame a flamer? I read your posts as well.. You should get therapy for your anger. As far as your FLOPS union attempt--FLOPS never voted on it.. It happened during the merger and RTA was the only folks that voted-I never got a chance. Are some of the fab five at NJA? Sure they are and now they can afford to buy a share of their own... Good for them! They deserve it. And to inform you of the great AMR purchace it only benifeted AMR! Ask any former TWA pilot how well it has done for them.. They are and will always be on the street. So to the employees did it really matter if they were bought by AMR or dissolved? They are still unemployed by TWA or American. In fact ask any American Eagle guy how great that was ie 6 yr jet FO????? I merely stated the obvious that we are being mirrored to function like NJA. Curious if something was in the works. Because I have been down the road before.. Are we being bought sold or merged to Uncle Kenn? He boldly said no--operations are normal..a month later goodbye FLOPS Inc and hello FLOPS LLC. Deals like that have to brew for a long long time to get in order. I was only asking if anyone else saw the similarities. I know that a DOH would never take place as you guys have been to hell and back and I never teased any of you about your contract but praised you for your perserverance. Good luck on the anger management-it must be a blast working all week with your great attitude..

Actually Galaxy,

If a merge were to happen, you'd be a lot better off as a union member than an at-will employee. In case of a merger, NetJets pilots would be better off leaving you guys on your own than working toward getting you under a union umbrella. The staple you talk about is much easier to do with a non-union group being added to a union company.

However, we feel that the industry would be better served by having the two largest pilot groups operating under a similar CBA and that's one of the many reason's we're working with you guys to get you some protection. Not to mention that it's the right thing to do.

I'm not angry, well at least not at the FLOPS folks.
I was simply responding to the posts that to me, seem a little self-serving.
Now that there is a real possibility that a merger might occur. Posters such as yourself, not the rank and file FLOPS folks, want a union to represent you. I feel, in hopes of getting a better deal in a hypothetical merger.

That, in my opinion, isn't going unnoticed by myself and some of my coworkers.
