New practical test standards

Flight Instructors,

I was talking to our chief pilot (designated examiner) today and he showed me some new tasks that have been added to the test standards. Steep spirals, engine failure abeam the numbers, new wording on MCA and many more. I think they go in effect on Aug. 1st. My buddy's student is taking his comm. check ride on Aug. 1st, sucks for him. I'll bet there will be many others in his situation.
