It appears that our "factor" is falling a bit???

Since Jan 6th, 80 lucky, former Pool Rats have left the hallowed waters that we treasure. As has been pointed out, perhaps a slight yellow tint, but still pretty good H20 quality. This includes the recent April 7th class.

Of these 80, 58 souls have come off of W8N's "Unofficial" SWA PoolFlightInfo list.

Opie, please correct my math if I get it wrong.... looks as if we are now running at a 1.275 Poolie:pD factor?? This is a few points less that the previous 1.4xx something we were guessing over the long, dark, cold winter of waiting.....:D

I for one hope to see this # get closer to 1:1..... but ANY downward movement is GREAT!!!

HOPEing to drink a little Wild Turkey-Aid in DAL soon......

Well, Tred, I'd be inclined not to count the April 7th class just yet, simply because they are still listed as poolies on our chart. That said, 60 have actually been called so far. Latest intel of 290 actual poolies, divided by 223 on our list gives an "official" average factor of 1.3004484, still better than it used to be.

In other news, my buddy in MDW was commuting in and heard from the third cousin twice removed of one of the "Senior" DAL types with close ties to some higher ups. He said that "IF" a certain major competitor were to run into more trouble, the number 600 was tossed around describing the number of new hires from June to June next year.

In more concrete thoughts, the number of JA's is skyrocketing due to 80+ reservists gone. I wonder if scheduling would be willing to put a poolie on the VJA list?
