From the Jet U website..... Estimated Fast Track Earnings as a CRJ200 First Officer
$14,872

What are you talking about?

12 (months) x 75 hours (guarantee) x $20.73 (first year pay) = $18,657.

Your "Jet U" earnings must use the training pay for the first 2 or 3 months instead of guarantee.

There is nothing 'new' about that F/O pay rate...

You know what I'm talking about. It's what a Pinnacle F/O will make that went through the Jet University program.

To the best of my knowledge, we still haven't accepted anyone from this "Jet University" outfit. However, if we ever do, they will receive the same pay that all first year FOs do: $20.73 an hour with a 75 hour guarantee. Take your flamebait elsewhere.

It's not MY flamebait. I got it directly from the Jet U website. Since the program has only been in effect for a few weeks no graduates have reached Pinnacle yet. Give 'em a few more weeks and you will start to see them in a silver RJ near you. It will probably end up being a popular program, so I'd expect to see quite a few of 'em. Have fun with them Pinnacle captains.

I know that there are only 12 people enrolled in that program so far.....and they are having trouble selling it(((from former Comair Academy HR person who helped design the program))).

80for80,

What's your problem with PCL. This is like the third subject you've posted about the airline. Why don't you just come out and tell us your beef instead of posting a bunch of BS that is literally old news......all of it.

No second cert. in the works.

FO pay is listed in the contract.

My problem with Pinnacle is that you all are just a bunch of wannabe airline pilots who bring down the entire profession by your very existance. Your operation and pilots are dangerous and unprofessional and should be grounded by the FAA. You are the laughing stock of every regional pilot. Even Mesa and GoJets have more respect than you guys do.

wheres your evidence? they aren't crashing planes. there was the one but almost all airlines have had a crassh so if you are going to convice pinnacle of being dangerous you better add all the others to the list.

We are ALL going to be flying super 80 size jets for $80/hr in the near future the way this industry is heading!

80for80,

Your name calling and assumptions show an ignorance that I am surprised to see out of an Eagle pilot. Please talk to your union, the same union as Pinnacle about your concerns. To say GoJets is better than Pinnacle shows a lack of knowledge on the issues.

don't you have a wife or kids that you can hang out with when you are not at work so you can do more productive things then come up with new ways to bash an airline that you don't even work for and shouldn't even care about. By the way, I think you work for american eagle and you should know that eagle is accepting resumes from people who have 500 hours right now. What is the difference between that and pinnacle?

You're definitely entitled to your opinion, but don't come on the message board and post a bunch of BS that you clearly don't understand or comprehend. It just makes you look bad, not Pinnacle. Do more research before you start another bad thread, please, for all of us.

An excellent idea!

I don't even know who this guy is, but he seems to have a bone to pick with Pinnacle. Probably got fired for being dumb and now hates Pinnacle for it.

Sad Sad Sad.......

*Sad part is I think I fly for 80's "big brother" airline and man does he su*k as a rep for our regional....sorry guys!

***As far a Pinnacle bringing down the industry, these guys are fighting for a contract that will fall in the middle of most regional contracts and will still give them a large improvement in qol and pay!! I hope they get it. An to say they should all be grounded....lmao!!! If you work for who I think you do then you dont have much room to talk.

Are you referring to me? And if so, why do you say that?

For some reason people believe that the pilot group at PCL is composed exclusively by PFT pilots, not even close. There are folks here from NWA, AA, UA, and just about every other carrier out there that currently has furloughs. Another thing that I find interesting about this pilot group is the diversity of cultures and experiences. We have pilots here that flew in Russia, China, The middle east, South America, Bush flying from Australia to Alaska.
Quite a bit of folks that operated under ICAO regulatory nations (My case for example) And this diversity and wealth of knowledge is what I enjoy about this pilot group.
I've only spent the last 5.5 years here out of my 25 years flying. And I have found some of the nicest most professional people here at PCL. I have also being blessed with being a Check Airman here for over two years and I have the unique opportunity to observe a lot of the crews in action when I conduct Line Checks.
So about your comment of the pilots here at PCL being unprofessionals that should be grounded by the FAA, I respectfully disagree.
And the industry as a whole also disagrees since our pilots are being hired at FDX, CAL,SWA,JB,Airtran. Our pilots are finding jobs internationally as well, We have folks going to Cathay, JALWays.
Now, about the Program folks. Despite the low time stigma that follows them, I can assure you that our signature doesn't go into the documents until they are ready. And I for one, make my best effort to teach and train these folks properly.

Being an ALPA carrier that has a working agreement in place, all our F/O's are compensated as per that agreement.

Very nice post DB. I've been here a little longer than yourself and I can say that you are absolutely 100% correct.

And yes, people are moving on to just about any company you can imagine. The training department here has made some major improvements recently and it seems to have more on the horizon.

Jealous? Bitter?

just ignore 80for 80, he is jealous of everyone else or bitter that he is stuck in light twins and will max out at 80 hr at $80/hr

2 that I know of.

3 at Cathay.

About a dozen at airTran, jBlue, and SWA.

About 50 or so at FedEx and another 50 or so in the pool.

And that's just from people I've known in the 5 years I worked there...

PCL has its issues with training - they still do. I didn't like flying with the low-timers simply because it increased my workload exponentially, especially when things went wrong, and I strongly disagree with the PFT programs, but to say that the whole airline is unsafe and should be grounded is alarmist, unfounded, and unprofessional.

Actually, I think that picture is of the pilot that got into a bunch of trouble in South America a couple years ago.
