I filled out the form that someone posted on this site to get a new "plastic card" pilot certificate and also to have my SSN excluded. I got the certificate but it only says "Commercial Pilot" and not my Instrument, Multi, Private Pilot ratings. Is this normal? I guess the only proof of ratings now is our logbook?

Thanks, yep, they're there, so next I need my eye site checked! :)
Maybe you just weren't sure how "instrument airplane" was spelled?! Sorry, man - just kidding. I had to take the shot!! ;)

How long did it take for you to get the new certificate in the mail? I got my multi inst and comm ratings about 90 days ago and the government has not sent me a new piece of plastic or paper.  When I got my single comm rating it was the same story. Anyone know what's going on?

I didn't have new ratings, I just sent in the Adobe PDF form to have the new cert issued to remove the SSN. Took about 4-6 wks.

If my students are any indication 90-100 days or more are not uncommon right now. Both a private single and commercial single/multi instrument student of mine have waited over 100 days (both just got theirs in the past 2 weeks).

New certs with non-federal ID numbers - 3-5 weeks as I recall. New cfi cert - 2.5 mos.
