Not sure on how the firing, releasing or however you want to call it took place, but maybe they knowingly let them go so they could accept employment at Virgin America and thus installing the regional knowledge, capabilities and connections for SkyWest Inc. Maybe ASA will do the flying for them. Who knows.SkyWest summarily fired executives from ASA who later ended up working for Virgin. I doubt they harbor any "warm and fuzzy" feelings for Jerry Atkin, or his airline.
Yeah and they mentioned "Talks" last year too and look what we got, YX flying. Virgin America or not, I'm sure there will be another partner in the mix. Along with that, maybe SkyWest in early 2008 will get the green light to add the other 25 a/c to the fleet for a YX expansion. "The day SkyWest stops growing is the day SkyWest dies." I heard that quote before.Originally Posted by Positive Rate
"talks".......is just that....
I think I'll wait for a press release to get excited about this one. In the past I've spent wayyyy too much time in the rumor mill. Didn't Ron mention something in Headlines years ago about going over to France to look at airplanes? Everyone got excited and then they never talked about it again. My memory is a little foggy. Anybody remember this?
Ford & Harris?
Gr82,
You just made me throw up my soda. You owe me a soda biatch.
ppooookie
So let me get this right. ASA gets a TA and in the same week flightinfo, which has been dead for months comes out with:
1. SKYW reductions in ATL
2. SKYW in talks with "somebody" about "something"
3. UAL flying being lost
4. MESA going tango uniform and an untold amount of flying up for grabs
5. SKYW introducing a new China operation
I really don't buy into the conspiracy theories but this is a little much.
