pilotyip said:NWA has it in their contract that no more gates can be built at DTW, so if USAirways pulls out, and they put a link feeder in those gates, no one else can come into the airport and complere with NWA.

They reserve the right to add one IF a carrier tanks and they need to make a rapid entry into a market. It would have to be a carrier who has jets and crews ready to go so the spool up time is quick if the program is activated.
But it is by no means a guaranteed thing for anyone.
