It's about what happens when a sport pilot (or pilot on BasicMed) decides they want to go beyond light sport privileges and obtain an FAA medical. Upgrade aircraft. Get an instrument rating. Whatever their reason is.Even after reading the Plane and Pilot article, I'm unsure how it applies to Sport Pilot and the upcoming MOSAIC rule. It was my understanding that after MOSAIC, most likely final in Spring, those of us in Cub type aircraft, Supercub, Carbon cub, would fly under the rules of Light Sport. Don't contact an AME - don't need an AME. What am I missing?
