I just filled out the "new and improved" Jet Blue app on line. It gave me a score but didn't give any standard. Anyone know what -1/65/0 means?

I'm used to getting scores from 0 to 65 on tests but what is the -1 about. I've always at least gotten my name right, avoiding any negative scores!

Maybe if you're too stupid to figger it out, you can't work there...

Thanks in advance.TC

Please be patient with the new online application. This is a company-wide improvement for processing the thousands of online applications that are maintained and used for selecting prospective crewmembers.

The previous application data has been saved and is available to the pilot recruitment department in the interim. The people department is in the process of sending emails to all of its applicants about the changes to the application process. The emails are not being sent all at once and are not being sent in any particular order.

So please be patient,

Chaz

If you really want to work there....

you'll fill out the new application.

Just my two cents.

I did fill it out. I don't have any problem with the format. Apparently, the JB bashing d!ckheads around here have made you guys paranoid.

It just gave me a score for answering questions and I wondered what it meant.

BTW, I think this format is a quantum leap over the former app. In fact, I would go so far as to call the previous app 'fecal in nature'. ;) TC

Maybe the -1 is to make things even with the female applicants... :D TC

competency & skills

Has anyone filling out the new Jet Blue pilot application also filled out the
"skills and competency" section ?
If so. what do they mean by questions about years experience, currency, and training for telephone. verbal, and english skills ?

I filled out the new jetblue app last night. Received an email thanking me for applying but there wasn't any sort of reference # included like there was with the old app system.

How will my references be able to attach their recommendation to my application?

Thanks for anyone in the know........

Hey Tim,

Just filled out the form also. I got the same score -1/65/0. I thought I'd score a lot higher, whatever that is, just because I'm so much YOUNGER than you!:p

aa717drvr didn't you just get hired on with that GV operator and now your thinking of leaving?

I thought you like the GV? What's up?

Did anyone have trouble with signing in if you have already flilled one out from the old App?

it didn't recognize my email address and password.

I filled it out anyway. Just a question, did it matter if I could review my other or not, thanks!!

Diesel--I'm just pi$$ed that someone of my obvious talent and good looks hasn't gotten interviewed by JB yet! ;)

Guam--Yeah, I had to re-register. It initially said I was qualified for an "Inflight customer service" job. They haven't seen my legs!

XTW--See above post to Diesel... :p TC

P.S.--You frac guys must be working a lot. You didn't even return my phone call while I was sitting on my butt drinking beer watching football.

I did return the the call. The line was busy. You were either "bothering" someone else, or you passed out while on the beer, I mean phone!

PS It was nice having dinner on the water in Nevis though!

I apologize in advance if this subject has been beaten down and answer before.

However, the jetBlue online application asks the following question:

Total hours flown as Pilot in Command (PIC) in any kind of Airplane (include ONLY those PIC hours accrued when you signed for the airplane)
My question is: I owned a BE-55C and flew it about 450 as PIC. It was my airplane and I didn’t need to sign for the thing. I am also a captain at a Part 121 carrier where I do need to sign for the aircraft. Can I combine the BE-55C and Part 121 PIC times to answer the jetBlue question?

Thanks AirNikon, I have no idea who you are but nice shot of my ol’ girl friend. That big freaking dork in the jetBlue colored shirt is me Splert.

I understand the -1 is your degree of "hotness". The JB ladies in administration check with your previous employers and send out a survey based on looks, love-making abilties, and penis size....... a -1 does not bode well.

Splert--The whole "sign for it" statement is to keep people who are type-rated in an airplane from logging PIC time any time they are the sole manipulator of the controls. You are ok to log the Baron time. Great airplane, BTW. I got my multi in a 58.

XTW--You suck! I'll try calling tonight. See ya.TC
