The Pinnacle captains intials are R.N. The reason was a Cass Issue on a full flight. Captain R.N. had his fo tell the xj Captain that cass denied him, R.N. checked it himself. XJ guy calls XJ to confirm this, XJ said all was ok. XJ pilot tells gate agent, gate agent tells XJ pilot that even if he did check it and it was ok, R.N. demanded he see it on the screen for himself. Agent goes down to plane, agent comes back tells XJ pilot that Captain R.N. will not come up and look....XJ pilot commutes home on FedEX 2.5 hrs later....confirming that his Cass status was OK.

A very lame and cowerdly way to deny a jumpseat

The XJ and 9E unions are working on this issue ASAP to stop any jumpseat wars...thanks to this guy Captain R.N.

Not a surprise. RN has been a problem on this issue for years.

Yeah, if it's the R.N. I'm thinking about this XJ guy is part of a long list.....

It's not a jumpseat war, it's a lone nut.

You probably didn't want to share a cockpit with him anyway.

Problem is there is always a few "nut jobs" at all airlines...we have a couple at XJ for sure.

While on the subject of a lone nut, reach down and see if you got two!

Just post this guys full name. Right here, right now.

I don’t think it is considered slander if the information is verifiably true or if you are reporting what your were told by a known source.

Not condoning what he did, but how do you know if the info is 'Verifiably true'?

Only courts can ascertain that! To protect the 'guilty', let's keep the names off this board.

It's the civilized way. Let's no accuse someone of being unprofessional, and turn around do the same!

And friend, while you want to stick with the ‘nut’ subject and asking others to reach down, I’d encourage you to think about brain and try to reach up: you’d be surprised, first, to find that you have very few cells and, second, none of them are connected.

Few weeks ago, I jump seated on a NWA A320 with one of the rudest captains/persons I’ve ever met. Rude enough that prompted me to write a letter to pertinent people in the NWA flight ops and got a very favorable reply back.

However, it would be ‘unprofessional’ of me to print that captain’s name here, wouldn’t it?

If someone is being rude, lacks manners, is unprofessional, then there are ways to address that issue. Least of those is to use ‘slander’.

However, if you’re too busy trying to find ‘any’ nuts down there, you’re too busy to realize that what’s down there does not help with intelligence!

Isn't that the guy who got sent to the psychiatrist by Pinnacle? I believe he has mental issues.

What's "unprofessional" here is the fact that you went to NWA flight ops people and reported the Captain. I don't care how much of a d&#& the guy was, you don't go to management about a fellow pilot. Deal with it within the union by calling Pro Standards or your Jumpseat Coordinator.

What he said!

You bummed a free ride and then reported him to management because you didn't like his attitude? WTF man???

First you take a free ride and then you write up the captain? Very professional.

Yeah i hate to jump on the bandwagon but thats a huge a hole move. Are you new to the airlines? The guy dosent have to give you a ride, or be nice to you. But he gave you a ride. If you're a regional guy 50% of the mainline captains are going to crap on you. Don't get your feelings hurt by a few rude captains and always keep your mouth shut to management.

What if you had gotten the guy in trouble, just because you got your feelings a little hurt. He probably has a family to support and the last thing he needs is some regional puke with a bruised ego to tattle on him.

After management has raped this guys pay and pension I don't think they are in a position to tell him, a capt, to be polite and nice...

Pinnacle Jumpseat of XJ Pilot

You probably didn't want to share a cockpit with him anyway.
I would never let one of those yahoo's jumpseat on my aircraft, unless it was the last option.Fly alot more Sushi.

Well, I suppose you’re correct. It wouldn’t be very professional to post a name but it really does frustrate me that someone would actually go to those extents to deny the jump seat.

Once someone’s actions begin to affect others, the way this guy has, it seems to be more public and less personal to me.

If NO personal information about others can be posted how do people get away with talking about specific members of management the way they do? What about some of the more famous names that appear on this board? I didn’t hear anything about the Terms Of Service when reading about a pilot’s name that posed for nude magazines or the name of a famous preacher’s wife who had a conflict on an aircraft.

What goes around comes around! Should not have gone to management for this. That s!_!cks for that Captain too, but he should have thought about the fact that not everyone is aware of the "don't scr*w a fellow pilot" system. Think before you do (both parties)!
