I read on here a few weeks ago about a new ID card for jumpseating.

Last June my company lost our cargo contract in Puerto Rico. Since then I've been commuting to PR at the end of most months to make charity flights for an island's hospital (we got a part 121 certif. several months ago).

I don't have this new ID - will I run into any problems JSing to PR next week ? Our company's pretty small - is there a way I can take the initiative and apply for this ID myself ? thanks

Are you referring to the "CREW" stamped on the ID? I'm still waiting on mine from ASA. Have your certs, etc and you should be fine. Since your not sitting up front it should not be a problem. Once again, you will have to get through security and the gate agents!
