Please educate me. ( I know it varies with each carrier but I am just asking in general)I am trying to plan for my family.
When it comes to bidding for monthly flights, what are:
Hardlines
build-ups
and what is normally involved with reserving(can be called for out and back or multi-day trips?)
When on reserve are you given days off or are you on reserve every single day?
Once assigned a base (as a new hire) how common is it for pilots to be required to change bases?
If I live at a location other than my base and get stuck somewhere while trying to jump back home, I have to put myself up in hotel, right?
Any good books about transitioning to glass cockpit aircraft?
What is best way to live in hotel during training (meals, etc…)
Thanks so much
