Anyone else catch the blurb in USA today about Polar about to get State Dept approval for China?

yes. sounds like the others that fly cargo into China would get more flights as well.

Im pretty sure UPS, Fedex and Northwest also get extra frequencies in there recently......

They got permission for 9 flights a week I believe, and 5 are immediate--with the other four starting after May 25th of next year.
