Not sure if this info is out there or not yet, but...

American Eagle has recently lowered their hiring minimums to 1200 TT, 200 multi. If you are a heli person, you need 300 fixed wing.

Eagle's minimums just a few weeks ago were 1500 TT, and 300 multi.

Word is, hiring 76 a month.

I wasn't aware they would take heli time into account for the total time requirements... I was under the impression (false?) that American Eagle only took fixed wing time.

Anyone know for sure one way or another?

Yes. If you have 1200 TT, but 900 is in helicopters and 300 is fixed wing, then you qualify.

Was that your question? I wasn't sure what you meant.

a friend of mine that had an interview with eagle said that he was willing to sell his harley to make ends meet for two years while working as an FO at eagle. With the current upgrade times, would buying four harley's to sell to make ends meet be more realistic?

yep. Does he have a spare sitting around the garage?

Yes, that is what I meant, thanks for the heads up.

I'm at 950TT right now, but considering that I flew a hundred hours last month, I'll be at 1200TT pretty quick. The problem is the lack of multi-time (what else is new?).

I guess I'd better get working on that problem, huh? :)

Thanks again for the info...

Yeah, but it'll be alot easier to reach the mins that just a couple of weeks ago. 1200 isn't nearly so hard to reach as 1500 would have been. And, at least only 300 of it has to be fixed wing.

I'm trying to look on the bright side for you. Is it working?

Why does AviationInterviews.com have a few pilots with just over 1000TT and 100ME interviewing? Is this another bridge program shortcut?

"GE CF34-3B1""What's the current upgrade time to jet captain? 15 years! LOL!!!"

NO!! 5 years 9 months for the Jet and 4.5 for the prop. And if the Dallas morning news is right about AA recalling 400 pilots next year. About 80+ flowbacks would go back, and or 300 Eagle pilots with AA numbers would get called first, (highly doubt it but, we have sworn testimony on it. But that is a hole new tread in it;s self) then the upgrade will come down realy fast!!! Plus the 70+ newhires the next couple months then a steady 40-50 a month tell the end of 05'

5 years 9 months for CRJ Capt. And that is after 2yrs of no movement. Rumor is 70 new hires a month all summer.

Does anyone know which base most new hires go to? What is the order of seniority for the Eagle bases? Thanks for the info.
