A new bid was released today. All positions have an effective date of April 1, 2004. Training classes in January, February, and March. The vacancies are as follows:

16 737 Captain
12 757 Captain
4 L1011 Captain
10 757 First Officer

Awards to be posted December 19. (maybe I'll get a really nice Christmas present :) )

Also, on the employee info line the VP of Flight Ops again stated our desire to acquire 5-6 used 757s. First one in March with the remainder by July.

Indeed, that would be a nice stocking stuffer for you Tri-Star.
Thanks for keeping us updated, it is truly appreciated!

ATA getting more aircraft

ATA CP hotline just announced Wed they are looking to add 7 or 8 used 757s in 2004. They said there was going to be an additional 737 in Nov of 04 also. That will require the company to hire between 150 and 200 pilots in 2004. We hired over 200 pilots in 2003. Interviewing is going to start again in Jan.

For the pilots reading this and asking "ATA who?" We are the best kept secret in the LCC industry. The pilots got the biggest pay increase in ALPA’s history during a down economic time. The new contract changed the airline from a "stepping stone" to the "majors" to a "retirement destination".

By July 1 2006 Pay for 737 Capt with 12 years = $195.66/hr (75 hr guarantee)
401K match and Cmpp contributions = to 15.6 % of salary

You do the math!
