Here's the latest from AirTran. I've heard we will be using the 717 to fly these flights.

Who knows, a Dallas base someday?

ORLANDO, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 22, 2004--AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings, Inc. (NYSE:AAI - News), today announced it will begin new nonstop service between Dallas/Ft. Hi everyone, it's Dave!

I think AirTran is completely misguided in their attempt to add capacity at such a critical juncture. If I were in charge, I'd reduce capacity, and begin working on cost cutting measures to preserve jobs and secure the airline's future.

I'll talk to you next week.

Ah yeah! This guy is funny.

On yet another positive note for AirTran, two of us who were pushed back to the 27 May class were reinstated to the 29 April class! After talking with Greta, it shounds like the begining of the big wave of training this year.

For those in the pool, keep the faith! Good things still can happen!

I look forward to flying something pretty for a change!

Sensei

Before I forget...Dizel8, in my semi professional opinion, you have the most outstanding Avitar (sp).

I am not worthy.

Sensei

You make me most happy, that it pleases you, oh wise sensei!

I shall further please you then!

Grasshopper may soon leave temple. Be sure to take small pebble with you. It will bring you much joy on very long journey--or not.

Remember like sands through hour-glass, so are days of our lives.

(sound of gong goes here)

Sensei

I'm assuming you are one of those 2?

Sensei

Does this mean YOU are in the 29 April class? AWESOME!!!

Glad to have you on the property (and on the seniority list!) :0)

I'll be behind you all the way--don't ask, don't tell. See you on the 29th!! Tell my friends at the 73rd I said hello.

Sensei

Will do!

By the way, what's the latest you've heard about the Ratio of 717s to 737s for your class?

Don't quote me on this but I think 8 73s and 10 717s. Details are still sketchy.

Sensei

Any clues on the fate of those of us who just interviewed?
As far as I know, none of us has gotten the call yet...

Also, I wasn't aware there was a pool. (not a big one). I was under the impression that just about 18 people waiting for a class date and that's it. Any info on this?

By the way, Sensei, congrats.

Hope to be just a few lines below your name on the seniority list soon...

It may be more like a kiddie pool, or perhaps a hot tub. Greta had referred to a "pool" so that's where I got it. I'll ask around to find out some more info, but it sounds like things are going to start happening very quickly even if there is a pool.

Sensei

Great, just what we need more Millitary FU.... ;) Just kidding, welcome aboard, yeah I know your not Navy.

Sensi I think you will really enjoy your time (Career) with us, it is great to see that the gates have opened and the kids are in from the pool. Welcome!!! :D See you during Indoc.

if air tran expands at DFW....will they be taking the eagle gates (lower b's) or bite into usairways/united/america west/ata (higher b's)?

Someone has to be on board to keep the Navy dudes in line :D
Looking foward to seeing you this week.

Sensei

If my information is correct we have four gates right now. But we are have a short term lease to AMR Eagle with two of them, and may recall those as needed. So we could operate up to 40 or so flights before we would need to get more gates in DFW, but that could be a little while off, I'd say 1-2 years by the crystal ball. But who knows I'll read it in USA Today with everyone else.

Thread drift, but I'm in need of a fast answer. Does Airtran Accept United Airlines pilots on the jumpseat? Thanks
