The difference between Honor, and greed. Your right, American CEO's and the polititians that support them would never consider this. Actually they would vote themselves a raise, just like they have been doing.
 
The JAL story is amazing. Our corporate cultures are so different.

BTW, in Japan it's considered disrespectful to bring cut flowers to a patient in the hospital. Cut flowers which are normally placed into a vase in the U.S., inevitably die. It's symbolic and represents death in their culture.

Embarrassing

Merrill Lynch CEO Jeff Thain requested $10 million bonus this year.



He says he deserves it for holding Merrill Lynch down to a loss of only $11.67 billion.
