It makes me feel like I did that day. People forget much too easy. Because of that day I will forever back the war on terrorism, whatever the cost.

What did we forget? That the government is here to protect us? Hahahahahahaha.

I have alot of bad things to say. Many will make me sound like
past leaders from the far left and the far right.

I'm not a leader for a reason. If I was, I would kill everyone
involved, their families, freinds, and societies that supported
them.

I'm not looking for justice, I'm looking for revenge.
But luck would have it, I don't have access to the "easy" button.

Agreed. I'm not sure what purpose this is supposed to serve.

What if the cost is that the war on terrorism takes us some place that the terrorists aren't? I'll support the war on terrorism when we start fighting it again.

Just my two-cents but I feel that (in the absence of the Iraq diversion) we should have maintained a stronger force in Afghanistan, and I've been saying for years (even prior to 9/11) that the U.S. needs to put stronger pressure on Indonesia. I truly believe that this is where the next generation of fundamentalist terrorists will come from. Well that and the Southern Baptist Convention.

I applaud your eagerness to support the fight against terrorism, and to that end, I agree with you. But giving our leaders a blank check to go fishing in a dried up pond just seems un-American. I hope this is not what you were suggesting by your post.

The hardcore terrorists are mostly in Iran and Syria and they are streaming into Iraq to fight us. So I guess if it is a "diversion" for us, it is also one for them. One which keeps them fighting our troops and not our civilians.

Yea, I guess I was just comfortable with them remaining in Iran and Syria. Seems they weren't really a threat until we gave them a reason to be (not withstanding a few isolated cases). If you don't want to eaten by the sharks, stay out of the ocean.

If we were really fighting a rational war on terrorism (i.e. going after those who attacked us), we'd be fighting in Saudi Arabia, but the cost of that war on terrorism would be us giving up our gas guzzlers. Me thinks the extent of most Americans' support for the war on terrorism ends with placing a bumper sticker on their car.
