Yeah it might be months before you get IOE in any plane. But like said above you'll still get show at home and they expect you to be ready to rock and roll.

The stars might align and you will have to go to work. You definetly don't want to be away from your base.

For those commuting you might want to think about a couple of months commuting to nothing on your own dime will do to you.

Surprised to see that there are no slots for CMH, i thougth they were having trouble finding people for Columbus. Does it look like they while hire into CMH again in the near future?

Just a quick question. Will they consider putting new FO's outside of the "Big Five"?

Question

So did you guys who are getting interviews soon have internal recommendations? I intend to shoot the app. off at 2500TT and I don’t know anyone yet that can recommend me.

t206- no

As the commanding General said to the German's at the possibility of surender at the battle of the buldge, "NUTS".

That was General Sink at the battle for Bastogne, not the bulge. HBO history 101. (I had to look it up:))

I must have failed American history 101, The fighting in Bastogne was part of the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944. I believe the Army officers name was McCauliffe. Please set me straight if I am remiss.

The seige at Bastogne was a couple of months before the battle of the bulge, according to "Band of Brothers."

The encirclement of Bastogne was during the "Battle of the Bulge." It was most definitely not an unrelated event at a different time. The surprise German counter-offensive occured in late December and caught the Allied generals completely off guard. The 101st Airborne Division was ordered forward, while most everbody else retreated, and held Bastogne against a surperior German force until Patton's Third Army broke through.

Anyway, Band of Brothers is a great HBO miniseries but the book describes more of the historical context of things.
