Airline Transport Pilot Certificate
Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
2500 hours total pilot time
500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
250 hours instrument time

Is there a Turbine requirement? Wait, let me ask this... Has anyone reading this gotten hired at NetJets with 0 turbine time?

CptJD

Yes, they have hired folks with no turbine time. In my Initial class we had several freight dogs hired flying Barons.

The problem now is, competitve numbers are 5k plus TT, and that goes without saying that turbine will be included in that.

I'm sure there are exceptions to this.

Hog,

Thanks, when was your class? Oh, do they have Co-capt. at NetJets that are typed? Or is it non-typed SIC intial that you had? Thanks again...

I think competative time is lower than that. I have several friends and my self were hired with less that 3500TT but with 1000 or more turbine pic. They hire alot of retired airline people so there time might jack up the average. My class was 8 ex airline, 1 military, 5 regional, and 6 corporate.

I'm sure if there is a strike the minimums to get hired will drop waaaaaaaaaay down - i.e. a pulse and and a Private license.....

Now is not really the time to be coming to NetJets. Too much going on. The work enviornment is getting hostile, not from the pilots but on how the company feels we should be treated. We have to watch every move we make - blamed for the operational readiness, yet called in for not writing up a burned out bulb... Being personally called by the Director of Operations for finding too much wrong with an airplane (can you say "safety of flight?"). Calls from the Cheif Pilot for departing 3 minutes late . . .

Now is not the time to come to NetJets. We will be glad to have you when we get this contract worked out, and this place will be a better place. If we don't, well - let's just hope that it all gets worked out.

What you are really saying is:

We don't want you to come here because we pilots have to convince the company that it is so terrible to work at NetJets. We the pilots have created a hostile work environment of intimidation and threats, because that what the union book says to do. We will nickel and dime the company to an inch of it's life as we try and hold it hostage for our demands. We are right because we have Darth Owens on our side. He used to be a great guy and now he is even better because he tells us so. And we can trust everything he says because he is the poster child for truth, justice and the fractional way.

Yes it is best not to come here until Darth Owens is unmasked and the pilots regain their senses. Just wait it out.
