Just curious what sort of travel benefits Netjets gives their pilots. I'm pretty sure I heard no jumpseating, but what about traveling with family and whatnot as passengers, any special benefits?

No jumpseat. No Non-Rev.

You get to keep all of the frequent flyer miles and credit card points.

There is a program in place that allows you to fly you or spouse & kids on ferry flights, but I don't see how you could have much control over timing and destination.

I've done the ferry thing before with the wife. Wasn't hard at all, you just need to be flexible.

After we got done my wife says to me "I don't ever want to travel on Southwest again!" I told her to go get a real job.:)

Is there a charge for riding a NJ ferry? Flight that is.

There is no charge for riding on a ferry flight, but you might want to bring some extra coin in case you need to grab a rental car or "cheap" flight back home!

It would be very wise to stay within whatever range you could tolerate to drive back in a rental if you do the ferry ride. Some places are definitely more likely to have flights than others- pretty much everyday at some point is a flight going each way between CMH and either HPN or TEB. PBI and LUK are also pretty popular ferry destinations. During the winter you should be able to get back and forth almost everyday from TEB or HPN and PBI. Most other pairings are gonna be one way and also not sure one ways since flights can be rerouted in flight (very rare, but it happens). Once you are hired and have your Blackberry you can check the company site for all the ferry flights day of and next day. Things can definitely change and nothing is guarenteed, but it's pretty cool to fly around for free in an airplane the customers are paying at least $3500 per hour for.

Some guys are able to jumpseat- I've heard Southwest, ATA, and Commutair have let guys ride. I think I've heard some others out there that will also, but I don't think any of them is a sure thing even if there is an open seat.

When I was with Great Lakes, we let NetJets ride also, along with almost anyone, but no formal agreement of any kind was in place. I haven't even tried jumpseating now that I am with NetJets.

I had a Mesa Captain tell me we should be able to ride on their flights (UAL Express, AWA/USAir Express, some Delta Express). He's an ALPA Volunteer with Mesa and even wanted to know of any Mesa Captain's turning NetJets pilots down for the jumpseat.

She will have to give a lot of lap dances to start flying on her own plane. Maybe she can start giving lap dances on private aircraft.
