Can someone give me some info on a typical duty day at Netjets? How long is the duty day and what are the average lengths of the overnights? Thanks!
 
Recently, scheduling has been keeping people on duty for a minimum or 10 to 12 hours. 13 to 14 are not that uncommon.

10 turns seem to be very popular even if you sit around the FBO for several hours "backing other flights up".

Scheduling is simply trying to make their numbers look good by saying that crews are on duty. What they are not revealing is how inefficiently those crews are being used.
 
In the Uboat, and average day seems to be 12 hours, and average rest is about 12. Companys got you for 14 hours max and than a min 10 hours off, 15 days a month, a pretty good gig.
 
I have heard fleet type makes a big difference. The XL and X pilots fly the most while the Beechjet pilots fly the least (from what I have heard). The other fleet types fly somewhere in between. I have heard the Sovereign and Hawker 800XP-C fleets are getting busier as those fleets grow in popularity among owners.

if you bag a flight because of a mechanical then you can bet on a min turn with the earliest possible showtime

And that will result in a fatigue call at the very last minute.

What goes around comes around for these idiots in scheduling.

I'm sure it seems that way, but this isn't the case. The schedulers aren't out to "get" anyone!

You really believe that? Even since its been proven that they do? Riiight.
 
I've been punnished by scheduling multiple times- just about every time I have flown with a captain who doesn't put up with more than a couple of 14/10s in a row.

Diesel, the schedulers do like you and they are not out there to get you. Thye want you to be relaxed and enjoy your day at work!

I think Josie puts in a good word for you in the mothership.

Arent you like from the great white north? I thought that I saw you in some airport like Augusta.....keep them engines idling around that part of the country. Run em a bit too high and Red Green and company might complain that their little cub was hurt!

And what happens when you have no mechanicals? Don't you still typically work a long day the next day as well? I might be wrong, but you guys work long days whether you have a mechanical or not. I guess what I am saying is the schedulers don't go out of their way to "punish" someone for downing an aircraft.

Things aren't like they were last year. We can see that 99% of the pilots are doing their jobs well. There are a couple stuck in the mindset of 2005, but it's only a handful.

Nope nothing to complain about. I'm realll easy on the engines.
