What are the callout times on reserve at Netjets.

Thanks

Reserve at NetJets does NOT work like it does at an airline. By 6 PM of the day before a possible duty day, the company is required to brief the reserve pilot by 1800 local if the following day is a work day or not. If the reserve pilot is scheduled to work, the pilot will be notified of the show time and location. If the pilot is not scheduled to work, he or she is off the next day.

thanks for the reply. Im considering making the move form 121 to Frac. I have another quick question if you dont mind.

1. Are all aircraft types in each Base.
2. What is the date of hire of the most junior
DA-2000EX...10-15 yrs

Yes. And most of the time you'll be taking an airline flight to get to your plane anyway. (If that has you wondering, "then why have specific bases at all," that's OK -- I wonder too!)

2000EX captain, you mean? Yeah, about 10 years or so, I believe.

The min is 2500, I was hired with 2553. The mins are competitive. We have guys with only prop experience, airline retirees, single seat fighters. It is a very diverse group.

It is based on staffing needs. You know your plane before you know your seniority number. You'll get a phone call that includes a job offer and possibly some choices of airplanes. I was offered a choice between four different planes and two different class dates. That is a nice thing, knowing your plane and domicile before you ever show up to work.

How much do NJA reserve guys work? Do reserve lines go senior? What's the best aircraft for reserve?

1) Anywhere from 12 to 18 days a month.

2) The default line is the 7&7. You have to bid for a reserve line. If you want one, you'll get one.

3) I don't think there is a best aircraft for reserve. It more depends on whether you like an APU, like transcons, like sitting in the FBO with a broken 400, whatever.

In most fleet/seat combinations, reserve is minimal and for the most part, reserve is usually not an assigned schedule. There have been instances where reserve actually went senior and people wanting the reserve schedule couldn't get it.

For what it matters, the contract specifies that not less than 10% and not more than 40% of the pilots in a given fleet/seat combination can be on the reserve schedule.

As for what aircraft is best for reserve, it depends on what your definition of "best" is. Do you want to fly, do you want to sit around, do you just have to have an APU?

That's what I said!
