You don't have to go to the suburbs, a lot of LA is 3rd world. Beverly hills, Malibu, and the OC make up about 10% of LA. It's kind of ironic how LAX arrivals fly over some of the most dangerous neighborhoods in LA.

How is it ironic? Aren't airports typically in sh1tty neghborhoods?
 
I have been waiting for DAL interview since Nov.

If you want a DAL base try Flexjet. Right now they are hiring for all bases including DAL. And the wait time for a class date is only a few weeks. The problem will still be getting the interview though. Ya know their main office is there in DAL also. You could go and hand deliver a resume. Its somewhere up in Richardson.
