I guess a little was lost in translation. Sorry. It is tough reading into a post. There has been a lot going on on these boards for the last 8 years that I have been on them.

Now don't get all tough guy on me. Personally I don't give a crap about you. Actually, you are the one aspiring to be in my shoes.

And yes your post stunk of FG. If you started talking like your post in a pilot lounge populated by NJA folk, you would have had an ear full. So my response was not out of line. It was not personal (in this forum) so get over it.

So do you have anything of interest to add or are you just chest thumping?

Chest thumping mostly...

I appologize for coming out swinging.

You are right, if I walked into a pilot lounge full of NJA guys I would get an earful, and rightfully so! However, I would have no excuse for not knowing how a fractional works and why (barring the economy tanking hardcore) the fractional model will keep on chugging at the same level.

I guess I'll keep on trolling the boards to figure out how it works.

No problem here ....

We all started out as student pilots, and no matter our level of experience, it is to our detriment if we ever forget that we are still student pilots!

The day I think I know it all is the day I retire.

First off, I'm happy you guys got a good contract and everything seems to have settled.

What I'm wondering is how do you NJ guys feel about this new contract and the future of the company. I'm not familiar with the financial situation of the company, but is this contract something the company can comfortably pay or one that requires high revenues to ensure a profit (ala Delta).

Everyone seems to be talking about how great their pay is and how much OT they can get, but I am getting qualms of a "Choking the golden goose for it and the egg" type of situation.

That is not the situation, at all. There is nothing to fear because the Management Fees had been raised years ago when the pilots' contract first became amendable. Consider all the money NJA made while they were underpaying the pilots. That money was not refunded in full; the pilots got a signing bonus--not the retro they were owed. The Golden Goose (NJ Inc) has been busy hatching new little NJs all over the world. That may slow down now, but I fully expect the American Goose (NJA) to keep quacking as long as the wealthy keep flying.

Question for you NJ folks? Does this contract include NJ international? Where can I get a copy of this ?
Thanks
