That is the legendary story but at least for the Aerion SSBJ, they have customers who've already placed orders. Aerion opened the order book at Dubai Air Show in November, 2007. The price is stated as being $80,000,000.

I do hope NJA orders them but I think it will be only a very lucky few who ever make it to PIC on that plane.
