50 Encore +'s? Are they replacing a fleet? Are they still disapointed with the BE40s?

The Encore+'s are rumor or fact, depending on the source one gets. I hope they are coming but like anything else, don't believe it until you see on one the property and gold ties in the cockpit (see also: Hawker 4000/Horizon and the G150). The Encore+'s would be to backfill for the older, high-time Ultras and likely as a stop-gap until the CJ4 arrives. Supposedly the CJ4 is the ultimate replacement for the Ultra fleet.

As for the 400XP, it is a large disappointment and deliveries have stopped for NJA, though some of the remaining order may go to the European operation.

We are supposed to be getting around 6 400XPs in 2007 - not too clever to use in some places where the refuelling guys (union directed) won't allow Prist to be used, so no refuel at Dublin!! One good thing, no such phrase as a "quick turnround" in a 400!!

That's true. All refueling is overwing and into the trunk.

I have also that supposedly Raytheon and Pratt are working on a fuel/oil heat exhanger for the 400XP.

Regarding EFB's, Rockwell Collins was awarded the contract about two years ago to supply the entire NJA fleet with EFB's (see below). From my understanding it is a pretty slick setup, when you pull into one of our major destination, such as TEB and PBI, you will hit the update button, and all of the information will be uploaded to your aircraft and updated via a local wireless communication setup. The reason for the length in development was/is from the integration into the multiple different aircraft, different avionics systems, some Rockwell Collins, some Honeywell. Also, unlike some of the other operators out there, these will be STC'ed, and TSO'ed, complying with Part 135 regs, no paper backup will be necessary, also, your aircraft logbook, GOM and all other paperwork will no be located on the computer.... from what I heard.....

ORLANDO (November 08, 2005) - NetJets has signed a letter of intent to award Rockwell Collins a 10-year contract for implementing a fleet-wide eFlightTM information management solution. The final agreement is expected to be completed by year-end.
"The eFlight solution selected by NetJets will connect the aircraft and the ground in an efficient way replacing hundreds of pounds of paper with simplified, electronic formats." said Mark Harris, vice president, eFlight for Rockwell Collins. "The end result for NetJets will be greater operational efficiency, accurate and up to date information and reduced costs."
Rockwell Collins will supply dual Class 2 Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) functionality for multiple aircraft in the NetJets fleet. The EFB will be integrated with the Rockwell Collins eFlight ground and onboard software to provide seamless database distribution and loading, and document management.
The eFlight solution will provide electronic database distribution and loading for the aircraft's Flight Management System (FMS) and Integrated Flight Information System (IFIS); electronic document distribution and viewing of manuals and charts integrated with the EFB. In addition, the eFlight solution will provide a comprehensive reporting feature that indicates the status of all electronic documents and databases sent to the aircraft.

Yes. And Ummmmm... Yes.

The 400xp is no replacement to the Ultra.
