In Europe, fractional flying is facing increased and more restrictive regulation from the European authorities. It would not look very good for NJE to import labor from overseas. It may be a bit more time consuming to put folks through ab intio, but it makes for good political relations with the governments over there to hire and retain the locals.
Same goes for buying the Falcon 7X. Oh yes, it's a nice plane, but NJA has a great relationship with Gulfstream. However, it helps them gain favor with the government over there when they can show that they just purchased x number of billions in European aircraft which, by the way, will be flown by local boys.
I thought the Gwhiz only uses AC and DC power.
Nobody has mentioned fuel yet.
They will hire Americans provided they have converted their tickets to JAA and have the appropriate permits to work in the EU. Meanwhile, the ab initio training program to provide NJE with pilots should be underway in the UK any time now.
The Gulfstream doesn't run on fuel -- it runs on the blinding machismo of the pilots gifted enough to fly them.![]()

Just wondering if anyone can confirm or deny this? That, NetJets Europe hiring North American contract pilots through a Canada based company. If so does anyone have any info. Thanks.
Actually, a candian company called Acass is recruiting for NetJets, but for NetJets Middle East, as well as a US company, Jet Professionals, Jet Professionals actually offers a better deal than Acass. NJME is hiring full swing for the Hawker, Gulfstream, and the Falcon, they just put in an order for 20+ Hawker 750's, 20 Falcon 2000LX's and over 30 G450's, but just heard that they will convert a few to G550's. They plan on having over 100 pilots by the end of 2007, and over 200 by the end of next year, so they are hiring in huge numbers.
They are hiring direct entry Captains into all fleets!!
Good Luck
