Looking at the salary scale on airlinepilotcentral.com, the payscales are very similiar for all aircraft types until you get to the DA-2000EX (and obviously the BBJ). So I am just asking theoretically (spelling?)... if one got hired today, how long would it take to be able to hold a captain position in the DA-2000EX? 10 years? 15?

Also I've heard that there are only like 30 pilots on the BBJ (never heard a rumor about how many BBJs there are). How many pilots are on the DA-2000EX and how many DA-2000EXs are there?

Thanks

Currently there are 24 pilot on the 2000EZ, not the EX. I'm not sure how many airplanes we have. There are 31 pilots on the BBJ and we have 3 of those.

It is pure speculation how long it would take to get onto one of these airplanes. But it would be a LOOOOONG time. I'd say more than 15 years.

We only have two EX's. But word is we are going ahead with the deliveries and will have about 34 eventually. Only two more this year, then faster delivery schedule.

I'm pretty new. I'm guessing they are all gone before I am senior enough to hold it. On the other hand, I'm sure there will be other cool airplanes for me to captain a long, long, long time from now.

Well, it's looking like the Ultras will be around "a long, long, long time", too. :D

2000dx

I wonder if were going to pursue the DA200DX at all? I'll be sitting shotgun for 3 years in it, then Ill grab the first thing that comes along. Ultra ,Beechjet whatever.

There are only (2) 2000EXs so far. Not 2000EZs, although the EXs have the EASy avionics. People that have been here 7-8 years already might see one by the 15 year mark (as PIC). Someone hired today? I don't even want to think about it.

Ooops :) Any recent news on our Horizon deliveries? That should be a nice ride.

Looks like our G150s will NOT be purchased. I don't know which airplane, if any, they will use to replace it.
