Hi everyone,

I have searched the threads and have read everybody's take on NetJets. It sounds great. I would love to be a part of it.

I e-mailed my resume and cover letter last Monday I was just wondering how typically the hiring process works from sending in the inital e-mail to job offer. With particular reference to time line

Thanks,

After emailing a resume, assuming you meet the mins, you could receive a full application in 2-3 weeks, possibly more depending on our recruiter's schedules. After sending in the full application, you should get an email verifying that the app is received and that you will either be called for an interview or they are not considering you at the time. After that, depending on what domicile you selected as your #1 choice it will take at least a few months to get an interview invite, with at least a couple week notice. Good luck!

Thank you imacdog - yes my meet the requirements although just barely with my TT being around 2800. Currently at a regional. live in NJ about 30 mins from TEB so hoping that might have some bearing.

Having TEB as a preference might be of some help, but it's possible that NJA is changing its basing rules later this year. Search on here for "IBB" or "Interest Based Bargaining" if you want to read more.

If you want to improve your standing in the hiring process, try to find someone to put in a letter of recommendation for you. If you don't know someone from your current employer who's been hired at NJA, try to network through your co-workers to find someone who has. Also, if you happen to be in an FBO somewhere and you see a crew in gold ties, walk up and introduce yourself. You might make a good contact that way.

Best of luck to you.

In regards to the letter of rec, when should it be submitted? I have a contact who is a current NJA pilot that is going to write up a letter of rec for me. When should he submit it? Should it be included when I send in the application or should he submit it separately?

What I've done is send my friends' resumes directly to DM and included my recommendation in the body of the email.

If you already have an app, I would suggest that you have him send his letter to DM after you send your app back. That way, DM can correlate your app with his letter. And to add to the impact, if you can include his letter in your application, that wouldn't hurt your case at all.

Good luck.

Sounds good. Then, that's what I'll do. Thanks for the info!

I just emailed my letters of rec after my friends had said the sent the applications back. Got a response from Derinda that she would attach it to their applications...

Ok so my application has been sent a week ago - when can I expect an e-mail from them. Forgive me if I sound a little impatient - just wondering.
I realise the application process spans a few months but heard from someone today that NetJets was not hiring for the rest of the year - could be wrong - don't know.

Any thoughts anyone
Thanks
