NJAi is pretty much done hiring for 2007. Per DM and JM. If your plans can wait unitl 2008 and if you are willing to report to 1 of the 5 domiciles you should be all set.

It seems that NJA has been hiring based on willingness to report to one of the 5 domiciles vs actually ability. And this is from an active line Captain who has seen a major difference in hiring standards. Go ahead....flame away. I have my sources too.....If you only know the truth you'd be shocked!!!!! Check out the training and IOE records.

Many people have their apps in expecting the new changes to pass and thus opening up 100 bases.

Don't count on it!!!!!!!!

Their are alot of things in the new contract that alot of pilot don't agree with.

If this new contract doesn't pass, plan on using your domicile for the next 3 or 4 years.

When were you hired?

Yes & Yes - Do-82 driver, TEB is a short drive away - as for the e-mail I am refering to after the app is mailed - and they say " yes come for an interview and we'll be back - or no thanks and have a nice day"

It's been almost a year since I went through it, but it seems like after I sent the application it was 2-4 weeks before I got the 'your app has been approved' email, then a couple months for the interview.... sounds like some guys are waiting 6 months plus for the interview (just so you know).

Thanks for that Jafo73, I knew it took a while for an interview but I was unclear as to what kind of time frame I could expect for the "your app has been approved" email. I figured if app accepted it would take around 6 months, which takes us into next year - if the hiring has stopped for the remainder of the year.
