Nothing is 100%, but if they sent you a application, they want interview you.
Now, when and what the time frame is...who knows.
Interesting side note. I don't mean to make anyone paranoid, but a friend of mine decided to do his own background check prior to interviewing with another airline. He went to his states bureau of criminal investigations to get a copy of his record in person. I did the same, costs about $12. Anyway, he expected it to be clean but found it to include a Felony DUI and Bomb Threat.
Due to his very common name and an intentional or unintentional screw up by the either the real criminal or court clerk transposing two digits in his SS#, the charges found there way into his file. It was cleared up but he had to go see a judge to get it done. The local clerk said about 1 in 25 records has some kind of error, if I remember the story right.Just something you could look into if you are so inclined.
