Does anyone know what is going on at NJI. My friend interviewed there about three weeks ago and everyone has been waiting for a response. He said one guy was offered a job the next day, and the rest have been waiting three weeks to hear. Any news would be welcomed.

Are they getting new aircraft?
Is the EJA contract having an effect on flight crews being hired?

Tailwinds

bump to the top

Sorry boys, just wrote "bump" and the system wanted 5 characters. though "bump me" or "bump you" might get censored so.....

doesn't sound like any of you guys made the cut....I had the same thing happen in the dispatch world, several friends got offers with a day of 2 of the interview, I did not hear anyhting for 2 weeks until the dear john arrived...hope for the best...maybe its not the same with you guys..good luck

I was in SAV yesterday and their were rumblings from some folks that a new hire class of 4 started last week in Blufton

Nope, I was just at FSI in SAV

mmm

From what I heard ten people get brought in to interview and approx six get hired. Those odds don't seem so promising reading this post.

Gulfstream did your friend give you any feed back as to the experience levels of the group??

I have an interview soon and hope my odds are much better!

When I have spoken to people about the interview they have said its a "get to know", so only one person getting the call dos not seem too good.

Good luck

Are people getting on without Gulfstream time? And does someone have to walk your resume in to get an interview?

don't listen to psysicx he's just a troll that asks questions that lead nowhere. Do a search and see for yourself.

For one Diesel I'm not a troll. And how is that a bad question?I don't understand why your so angry.

You definitely fit the definition of a troll. You ask assinine questions about a wide variety of things. When you ask about a job, and somebody asks for your qualifications....you ignore them. Just like you'll ignore this. You won't tell anybody your true qualifications....if you have any at all. If it looks like a troll...and smells like a troll...

A bit harsh... You don't have to answer his questions if you don't want to respond - that would be good enough, don't you think? Jeeeeez

Knowing someone on the inside can overcome the lack of Gulfstream experience. The opposite is not necessarily true from what I've heard.

But you'd be better off going to NJA and getting a number. You'd be senior to all the NJI people anyway... Right? ;) TC

P.S.--The second paragraph above is bald-faced, blatant flame bait. I'm already skating toward the penalty box. ;)

Psypain comes on here and every other section of flightinfo.com and posts questions that lead to nothing. He's got a couple going on the cargo board and a bunch on the corp board.

He asks about jobs and then when people try to help him he just asks another question.

It might be a bit harsh but it's true. The kid is just a pain in the A$$. I'm not angry I'm just hungover.

AA717Driver- Oooooh man you're in trouble. Going to be able to post only on the pprune GA board pretty soon. :)

It's Tough!

I know two highly qualified (GIV typed + exp) and they had a fine education background (Air Force Academy) and they didn't get hired (totally f'd up). So I would say that they are highly selective (no nepotism clause) I guess.
Good luck (if you are a Ex- blue or tbird maybe?).

This definitely seems to be the case from my experience. When I worked for NJA (in the flight center) a few friends and I took a tour of NJI/Gulfstream and were able to sit in on a brief board meeting. They basically threw out any outsiders with <5k and seemed to look more favorably on NJA guys with less time.
