He probably wanted to reduce his flying - I hear that fleet doesn't fly much... Let me guess, he was hired onto the X or the XL?

Yep, the X. There are more reasons for a senior FO bidding the 400 than just flying less though. The guy who did it is not lazy, nor is he stupid.

that is supposedly the reason why the class-date calls for new hires are taken so long to come after the interview because current guys are bidding "down" for better lifestyle since the upgrade time is lengthen.

there are pletny of new hires that get a falcon. It depends on if they need FO's. NOT flying experience.

What i meant was there are people on here who think they are really good and then bummed cause they got an ultra.

Hey man no worries, I still love to and would be happy with what ever I'm in. I just like to have an idea what to expect. Thanks for all the input.

I am sure that the last two and pretty sure that the last 3 classic Falcon 2000 FO bids went to FOs with > than 2.5 years on property. I've been here for 2.5 years and I know guys senior to me who have there bids in for it and haven't gotten it yet. I do believe that newhires are still getting the G200 and that is probably the biggest aircraft newbies can expect during their first seat lock. Each aircraft has it's advantages to the others and I'm sure everyone will end up happy with the job no matter what they get assigned.

So, since I have a ton of time and am a really good pilot I should expect a falcon slot?

...cool. cause I'd hate to be stuck in an ultra.

By the way...is a Falcon a jet?

jtf is correct. No Falcons this year, but several G200s. If you look at the seniority list, it varies a lot by class. The X and 680 show up a lot but also everything else up to the G200.

no, that is exactly what i was talking about. Guys like you think your $hit is ice cream then complain when they don't get the best equipment.

meanwhile we have guys that can't write down a clearance without fcking it up 10 times will get hired into the g200 or the falcon or the hawker 800.

point is the hiring dept don't care about your experience. They hire into whatever slot they have a need for. If its 20 XL's and 1 falcon then they pull the numbers from a hat.

I'm pretty sure you missed his sarcasm.
