I have a close friend whos dream job is working for Net Jets. She would be looking for a Columbus base and really could care less what plane she gets. She has all the minimums, and two internal recs, however she has no turbine or jet time, or any real crew experience. Is she kidding herself to think that she can get the job now, or will another job working in a crew environment in a turbine or jet what she really needs to be looking for right now? We have heard of people getting turned down because of the lack of crew experience. In some cases even being told, that they would be recommended to netjets to go to (intert company name here) for six months and then come back. Would this really be a problem? Does she have a shot?

More questions for follow.

I dont know what the mins are, but you say she meets the mins. Apply, interview, hope for the best.........repeat if needed.

To qualify as a NetJets Aviation (Citation, Hawker, Falcon, Gulfstream 200, Boeing aircraft) pilot candidate you must have the following prerequisites:
  • Airline Transport Pilot Certificate (Multi-Engine Land)
  • Current FAA First Class Medical certificate
  • 2500 hours total pilot time
  • 500 hours fixed wing multi-engine time
  • 250 hours instrument time (actual or simulated in flight - excludes simulator time
Dumb question from me is it Net Jets or NetJets?

Tell your friend to apply, when I interviewed here I had 0 turbojet, and 0 multi-crew. I have been at netjets now for over 5 yrs. She definetly has a chance.
