Hey guys/gals,

I currently work for ASA and lots of us are ready to leave and find a new long term home. I have a few questions:

1. what is the junior base?
2. How hard is it to get hired? Is it like FedEx you have to know someone?
3. How does your Res. work short call / long call?
Are you gone all seven days in a row on normal lines and than seven days off?
4. How long has the last BBJ f/o been with the company?

Thanks

BO

bomayknow ASA....

but bo might want to ask about these "line...shortcall...reserve" thingies on the fractional board!

Us corporate pukes are just on-call 24/7 for rich owners, we know nothing of the above stuff.

The old saying is...

"A rising $hit sinks all perdiem boxed lunches from Rudys and Hilton points"..

or something like that..

;)

Good Luck Bo!

Gman, you're killing me bro!!!! About sprayed the entire office with diet coke when i read that. Warn me next time will ya?
That is some funny $hit!!!!!

I talked to a couple netjet dudes in Naples. They said it all depends on where they need people when i comes to location and type.

Please do a search. There are about 20 threads along these lines active in the last few months.......

Bo-

Don't worry G200 just figured out that he's still not going to have a schedule. While myself and others here worked 100 days last year. :) Oh and we know our schedule for the next 5 years.

Don't invite g200 to your birthday party, he doesn't know if he's working or not. Chances are though he will be.

The saying goes, "A fractional pilot has christmas off. The corp guy has it off too. But he's sitting in a marriott."

c'mon over to corporate Diesel...you might like it...start North of 100K, 5 weeks vacation, etc...and holidays?? yeah, no wannabe rich frac families going to Apsen or PBI on holidays huh?? -- ya know, many corp operators only hold a few frac shares to supplement thier garbage...like the holiday trips.

think about it! - you won't even have to do all that side work you talk about on your "7 off" to make ends meet!

and hey, I promise you wont miss all those spectacular Rudys lunches you guys rave about either....or the Hilton and Marriott points (you guys do call these "perks") and usually include it in your salary along with the perdiem hot dog money..one day you chumps will realize there is nothing special about being a DIAMOND card holder at any hotel. Its not a perk buddy, it says your job sucks.

whats your Mascot say? -- "a rising $hit sinks all ships?..."

now get to your gateway and get in coach you little terd, your "7 on" is about to begin!

all in good fun diesel!
;)

Not quite sure where to start on this post...

Don't remember the last Christmas or Thanksgiving I worked, but I'm sure it was when I worked at the airline. In fact, my current employer has us just drop him off at his beach house and fly home empty and then come back to pick him up when he's ready just so I can get home to my children. For the past 6 years I have averaged around 2-3 RON's per month. I can't think of a worse hell than the coveted 7 ON / 7 OFF schedule the NetJets guys love to brag about. Every time I go in to a Signature and see you guys eating out of a f'n Rudy's box I want to vomit. Geezus..

Yeah it was tough bidding my 3 weeks of vacation this year. Lets see each week turns into 21 days. So needless to say it was should i take the summer off or actually work for at least one week?

Rudys box? I don't call it a perk. They know, no food, no go.

I do get sad seeing the corp guys trying to sleep in the lounge while waiting for the big man to return sometime today or maybe tomorrow. :)

All in good fun G
